"Bijou-Member" Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions for the Bijou les Boutiques Loyalty Program “Bijou-Member”

“Bijou Member” is the loyalty program of Bijou les Boutiques, managed by Gygax Retail AG, headquartered in 2572 Sutz, Switzerland.

As a Bijou Member, you earn Bijou points with your purchases, which are redeemed as member gift cards once you reach a certain point balance. Your membership gives you access to offers, services, events, and more organized by Bijou les Boutiques. You’ll receive digital receipts for your purchases at Bijou les Boutiques stores and online, and you can view your past purchases, current point balance, and member gift cards in your Bijou account.

By registering as a Bijou member, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Learn more about Bijou members here.

MEMBERSHIPMembership is open exclusively to individuals 18 years of age or older and requires a current, valid email address. Membership is free and not tied to any purchase.

Membership is personal, non-transferable, and subject to these Terms and Conditions. Only one membership may be held per person and per email address. Membership may not be used for resale or for any other commercial purposes.

It is your responsibility to keep your contact information up to date. You can make changes yourself at any time in your Bijou account or notify us via webshop@bijou.ch.
By registering, you confirm that we may send you emails or mail regarding your Bijou membership.

BIJOU POINTS
If you’re a Bijou member, you’ll earn Bijou points on your purchases—whether in a Bijou les Boutiques store or online—at a rate of 1 Bijou point per CHF 1. We’ll automatically credit these points to your Bijou account after your purchase. Points cannot be credited retroactively.

Bijou points you’ve earned are personal and cannot be transferred to another Bijou account.

You cannot earn Bijou points on purchases of sale items, gift cards, or shipping costs. Bijou points are also not credited for purchases paid for with a member coupon.

If you return a purchased item, the corresponding Bijou points will be deducted from your Bijou account.

Starting with each purchase, you have 18 months to reach the member gift card minimum of 1,500 points. After 18 months, your points will expire on a rolling basis if you have not reached the member gift card minimum during this accumulation period.

MEMBER VOUCHERS
Member vouchers are Bijou les Boutiques’ loyalty reward.
If you earn at least 1,500 Bijou points through your purchases within 18 months, we’ll give you member vouchers worth 10% of your cumulative purchase total. Bijou points are automatically converted into Member Vouchers once the Member Voucher threshold is reached and are credited to your Bijou account.

Every 1,500 Bijou points are worth a Member Voucher worth 150 Swiss francs. Bijou points for which no Member Voucher is issued are automatically carried over to the next accumulation period.
Example: Your Bijou point balance is 2,150 points. 1,500 points are automatically converted into a Member Voucher worth 150 Swiss francs. The remaining 650 points stay in your Bijou account and are carried over to the next accumulation period.

Member gift cards are valid for 18 months from the date of issuance and can be redeemed once at any Bijou les Boutiques location or online at bijou.ch. Member gift certificates cannot be exchanged for cash, applied to previous purchases, or used to purchase gift certificates.  

If you return items that you purchased at a Bijou les Boutiques store or online at bijou.ch using a member voucher, the amount will be credited to your gift card.

You can view your current point balance and any unredeemed member coupons in your Bijou account or at any Bijou les Boutiques location.

PRIVACY AND ADVERTISING
The processing of personal data in connection with the Bijou les Boutiques loyalty program is subject to the Gygax Retail AG Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy explains how Gygax Retail AG handles personal data, including in connection with the loyalty program, and provides information on the purposes for which personal data is processed, how it is shared within Gygax Retail AG or with third parties, and what rights you have as a Bijou member regarding your personal data.

By participating in the Bijou Loyalty Program, you consent to the processing of your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy.

As part of your membership, Bijou les Boutiques will send you offers, news, and important information. This does not include promotional emails, such as product newsletters. Information provided through the Bijou Member program is sent via email or—if you prefer—by mail to the address you provided. You can customize how you receive information and offers in your Bijou account. 

CHANGING, SUSPENDING, OR CANCELING YOUR BIJOU MEMBERSHIP AND PERSONAL DATA
You can cancel your membership at any time. To do so, please contact our Customer Service Center by email (webshop@bijou.ch) or phone (032 397 00 77). Please note that once you cancel your membership, you will only be able to place orders as a guest.

If you cancel your membership, all remaining Bijou points and member coupons in your Bijou account will expire.

Your Bijou membership will be canceled—after you have been notified by email (if your email address is on file) following an unsuccessful attempt to deliver mail and subsequent inactivity.

Gygax Retail AG reserves the right to modify the Bijou Loyalty Program and its Terms and Conditions at any time. You will be notified of any changes via your Bijou account, by email, or by mail (or a combination of these). In addition, we reserve the right to make minor changes to the loyalty program and its Terms and Conditions without prior notice, provided that these changes do not have a significant negative impact on your membership. Changes are considered accepted one month after they take effect unless you object. If you do not accept a change, you have the right to cancel your membership at any time.

Violations of the terms and conditions of the Bijou Loyalty Program, proven or suspected fraud, failure to comply with the General Terms and Conditions, account inactivity, providing false information, or actions that harm the interests of Bijou les Boutiques may result in the termination of your Bijou membership. If your Bijou membership is terminated, any remaining Bijou points and member coupons in your Bijou account will expire.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Gygax Retail AG is not liable for system malfunctions or outages of the loyalty program, nor for their consequences. Gygax Retail AG assumes no liability for losses or damages arising from the suspension, modification, or termination of the loyalty program, or in connection with it, except where such liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.

GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
These Terms and Conditions are governed by Swiss law. Any disputes, claims, or controversies arising out of or in connection with these Terms of Use or your participation as a Bijou Member shall be settled by the competent court in Switzerland.
