's General Terms and Conditions for Bijou les Boutiques Gift Cards and Credit Vouchers

These Terms and Conditions apply to Bijou les Boutiques gift cards purchased at a Bijou les Boutiques store or through the online store at bijou.ch, as well as to Bijou les Boutiques store credit vouchers. Bijou les Boutiques gift cards and store credit vouchers are administered by Gygax Retail AG, headquartered in 2572 Sutz, Switzerland.

By purchasing a Bijou les Boutiques gift card (hereinafter referred to as the “Gift Card”) or using a Bijou les Boutiques store credit voucher (hereinafter referred to as the “Store Credit Voucher”), you accept these terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions for Bijou les Boutiques Gift Certificates and Store Credit Vouchers”).

 

BUY A GIFT CARD OR RECEIVE A CREDIT VOUCHER

Gift cards are available at all Bijou les Boutiques locations and online at bijou.ch. Store credit will be issued if all or part of a purchase made at Bijou les Boutiques is returned.

Bijou les Boutiques stores accept all major forms of payment for gift cards. Online, you can pay for gift cards with a credit card, PostFinance, or Twint. You cannot pay with another gift card or a member gift card.

When you place an order online, you will normally receive your gift card within 2–4 business days from the time of your order. Bijou les Boutiques is not liable for non-delivery or delayed delivery. You are required to provide the correct address for delivery of the gift card. If the address you provide cannot be verified, Bijou les Boutiques reserves the right to withhold delivery of the gift card.

You can choose any amount for your gift card. When purchasing Bijou les Boutiques gift cards in the online store, the maximum amount per order is CHF 500. If you’d like to add more funds to your gift card, you can purchase additional credit at a Bijou les Boutiques store or through the Customer Center.

You cannot earn Bijou points when purchasing a gift card. You can find more information about Bijou Member here. 

Gift cards cannot be returned.

  

REDEEM A GIFT CARD OR STORE CREDIT

Gift cards and store credit vouchers can be redeemed at all Bijou les Boutiques locations and online at bijou.ch. You can use your gift certificate and/or store credit voucher to pay the full amount or a portion of the amount for the item(s) you’ve selected. To pay with a gift card or store credit voucher, you must present the physical gift certificate or store credit voucher in person.

For purchases that cannot be paid for entirely with gift cards or store credit vouchers, an additional payment method may be used to complete the purchase. The receipt will always show the current balance of the gift card or store credit voucher used for the transaction.  The gift certificate is designed as a purely cashless payment method. No customer data is collected either at the time of purchase or when the gift certificate is redeemed.

You can also check your current balance at bijou.ch, at a Bijou les Boutiques store, or by contacting the Bijou les Boutiques Customer Service Center (webshop@bijou.ch or +41 32 397 00 77).

 

VALIDITY

Bijou les Boutiques gift cards are valid for 5 years from the date of initial activation. Once the validity period has expired, the gift certificate can no longer be used for purchases or reactivated. Any remaining balance will not be refunded. Gift cards may be used until their balance reaches zero francs or the expiration date is reached. It is not possible to apply gift cards retroactively to a purchase. Cash redemption of a gift card is not permitted.

Bijou les Boutiques gift certificates are valid for 1 year from the date of issuance. Once the validity period has expired, the gift certificate can no longer be used for purchases or reactivated. Gift certificates can be used until the balance reaches zero francs. Once the balance reaches zero francs, the gift certificate becomes invalid and can no longer be activated or used. Cash redemption of a gift certificate is not permitted.

  

REFUNDS FOR RETURNS PAID FOR WITH A GIFT CARD OR A STORE CREDIT VOUCHER

If you return one or more items at a Bijou les Boutiques store that you paid for in whole or in part with a gift card or store credit, we will issue you a store credit note for the value of your returned items. When you return an item at a Bijou les Boutiques store, you will receive the store credit note directly during your visit. 

If you paid for your purchase online using two different payment methods, you’ll first receive a refund to your second payment method. For example, if you paid for your order with a gift card and a credit card, we’ll first issue a refund to your credit card. If the value of the returned items exceeds the amount paid by credit card, the remaining balance will be refunded to your gift card. For returns of items purchased online at a Bijou les Boutiques store, the refund will be processed in the same way as for returns made through our online return process, provided the 14-day return period is observed.

  

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Bijou les Boutiques is not liable for the balance on the gift card or voucher in the event of loss, theft, or damage.

Bijou les Boutiques reserves the right to interpret, amend, or revoke these Terms and Conditions without prior notice. You can view the current Terms and Conditions at any time on our website, bijou.ch.
